Happy October!
Another month has come and gone and you know what that means... Monthly wrap-ups! I don't typically do end of the month wrap-ups since more often than not, I only get through one book within a month and I don't see reason making a tiny post saying "Hi, I read this book during the month of blah! Bye!". It seems pointless.
However, during September, I somehow managed to get through not only 2 books, but 3! I know, I know, finishing 3 books is barely anything for some readers, but for my lazy, procrastionating self, this is a victory!

1. Black Widow: Forever Red
Author: Margaret Stohl
Rating: 3 out of 5 stars
Goodreads
For those of you who don't know, I'm a huge Marvel MCU fanatic, and I couldn't help myself when I saw this book at B&N for only $6! Even though it wasn't the best, it was still enjoyable. It felt too much like a Black Widow fanfic in the point of view of an original character that someone made. It was very cliche and I'm a little disappointed at how very little we see Black Widow in this book.
Will I read the next book? Possibly.

2. Simon vs. the Homosapiens Agenda
Author: Becky Albertalli
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
I never had an interest in reading this book until I rented the movie from my local Redbox. A lot of hype surrounds this book, and for me, I wasn't a massive fan like everyone else. Don't get me wrong, I love the premise of the book, and I love the chemistry that Jacques and Blue shared with one another. I adored all their gushy emails back and forth. Maybe I didn't like it as much because I watched the movie before reading the book?

3. The Catcher in the Rye
Author: J. D. Salinger
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
I first read "The Catcher in the Rye" all the way back when I was a tiny freshman in high school. After so many years, I forgot pretty much the entire plot of this book besides that fact that I remember enjoying it at the time. I don't really know what compelled me to reread this classic, but I'm glad I did. With the way the story is written and how Holden would bring up so many stories that he experienced, it almost felt like I was reading a journal from an actually being that was real and not a book.
What did you read during the month of September?
